The Consultation: Understanding Your Needs and Goals
Your dental implant consultation is designed to help us understand your needs, goals, and oral health. During your complimentary first visit, you’ll meet one-on-one with our new patient coordinator to discuss your smile, bite, overall health, and any questions or concerns you may have. We’ll also complete a new-patient exam, including digital photographs, X-rays, and a basic evaluation of your teeth and mouth. Using this information, our team can assess your oral health and determine which type of dental implant treatment may best suit your unique needs. Together, we’ll discuss your options and help you feel confident about your next steps.

The Initial Procedure
Your dental implant procedure is carefully planned to make your experience comfortable and predictable. If needed, we will perform any tooth extractions and bone grafting beforehand. Bone grafting allows us to build up your jawbone so it can support the implants, while tooth extractions will make room for your new set of teeth.
After numbing the area, your dentist gently places the implant post into the jawbone, where it will serve as a strong foundation for your new tooth (depending on the type and number of implants being placed). Sedation options are also available to help you feel calm and relaxed throughout treatment. The implant(s) are then given time to heal and integrate with the surrounding bone. Once healing is complete, an abutment is attached to the implant, followed by a custom dental crown designed to blend naturally with your smile. Our team will guide you through every step.

Osseointegration
After your dental implant is placed, an important healing process called osseointegration begins. Over the next several months, the surrounding jawbone gradually heals and bonds with the implant, helping to secure it in place. Giving your mouth enough time to heal is essential for the long-term stability and success of your restoration. During this period, the bone and gum tissue continue to recover and strengthen around the implant. Once osseointegration is complete, the implant can provide a strong, dependable foundation for your new tooth or teeth.

Permanent Teeth Placement
The final stage of your dental implant journey is the placement of your permanent new teeth. After your implants have fully healed and bonded securely with the jawbone, we will attach an abutment to each implant. This small connector serves as the foundation that supports your new tooth or teeth. Your custom-made restoration is then carefully secured to the abutment, completing your smile. We take time to ensure your new teeth fit comfortably, function properly, and look natural alongside your existing smile.
